REWARDS Word Fluency: Secondary
This program provides fluency practice to accompany REWARDS Multi-syllabic Word Reading. REWARDS is a 20-lesson reading program designed to teach upper elementary students a strategy to decode multisyllabic words and increase oral and silent reading fluency. Students learn to decode words containing from two to eight syllables through instruction on word parts, vowel combinations and conversions, and prefixes and suffixes. The first 12 lessons teach prefixes, suffixes, and roots, while the last 8 lessons focus on passage reading from science and social studies textbooks.
